My name is Trevor Riley, I'm part of the 2010 graduating class of the Broadcasting Television and Video Production Program at Canadore College in North Bay Ontario. My goal coming out of school is to bring some new ideas into the television field and strive to be my best.
The Passion
My passion in this business is camera operation and mobile productions but also familiar with Final Cut editing and Motion software.
The Experience
My experience comes from years of volunteer time at TVCOGECO Renfrew, Pembroke, Arnprior, North Bay and RogersTV Barrie, doing all sorts of productions from Monopoly Fundraisers to Smash Up Derbies. I have worked on Telethons including directing, camera and graphics. But my favorite productions have to sports mobile productions such as hockey, curling. The challenge of working out doors for the most part and the fact anything can happen and you have to be able to react and trouble shoot. I love it

Recent Work
HQD and CHB
In our second year of College we had to get into teams of 3 and produce a 7-9 minute Corporate video for a client which was chosen for us. Along with classmates TJ Sharer (producer) and Jordan Presseault (editor) we got Essential Helicopters Flight Training Program, located at the Canadore College Aviation Campus in North Bay Ontario. This project was a big task for us all but we had a lot of fun shooting this corporate, getting the chance to fly in the helicopters and also to understand and get an in depth look into the day to day routine of the program. Over the 5 shoot days that were given we got to know the instructors and we became the "video guys" seeing as we were there every other day with the shoot days and meetings. This project opened my eyes as a shooter, to the amount of work that goes into something like this. Having the team that i had was great everyone was able to share creative ideas and work together. The experience of the flight schools winter survival week was interesting, we only went one day but the students had to be out there for 4 days and it was cold! says a lot about the type of person it takes to be a pilot. In late February we got the opportunity to film under water safety training which was another first among others, seeing students strapped into a simulated cockpit and flipped upside down into a pool. It will be a long time before I forget about this project or the people i worked with and that goes for all the staff and classmates from the Broadcasting Program.
